The Brothers of Kappa Beta Beta's Executive Council

The Executive Council of Omega Psi Phi's Kappa Beta Beta Chapter are leaders in both the chapter and their community. Each of them are dedicated to uplifting those around them and empowering the next generation of leaders in the Wiregrass.

Basileus

Bro. Eric O. Curtis, Jr.

November 2024 to Present

1-19-Kappa Beta Beta

 

Eric O. Curtis, Jr.; was born and raised in Mobile, AL. where he attended and graduated from S.S. Murphy High School. Immediately upon graduating from high school Eric joined the Army in August 1997. He originally enlisted as a truck driver and in 2008 commissioned to serve the remainder of his service as a UH-60 helicopter pilot. Eric has multiple deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. After, serving 20 years of honorable military service Eric retired in November 2017. He is currently serving as a Training Instructor for the Department of Defense, teaching Initial Entry Rotary Wing flight school students at Fort Rucker, AL.

 

He received his Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2018. Also, he was initiated into Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated in April 2019. Eric is married to his high school sweetheart Shonta for over 24 years and from their union they have 2 boys Eric III and Damius.

Bro James E. Parris

April 2022 to Present

2-21-Kappa Beta Beta

 

Bro Parris is a native of St Croix USVI. The son of James and Celine Parris.  He is married to Crystal Christian- Parris, father of 4 adult children Bro Raheim Parris (Tampa, FL), Aliyah (Fayetteville, NC), Donald (Troy, AL), Myles (Troy, AL) and 1 young adult James “LJ” (Enterprise, AL).

​

Bro Parris received his Bachelor and Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Troy University.  He is a veteran of 22 years of service from the Army and retired at the rank of Master Sergeant. Bro Parris is currently employed as a Department of the Army Civilian at Fort Rucker Al as the Deputy Inspector General responsible for being the eye, ears and conscience of the Commanding General. 

 

Initiated into Omega Psi Phi Inc. in SPR 2021, he has served as the chapter’s Ways and Means chairman, co-chair Achievement Week and co-chair the F.L.A.M.E Academy.

Brother Tony Orr

November 2024 to Present

8-23-Kappa Beta Beta​

​

Daris Tony Orr, a native of Lincoln, Alabama, enlisted in the United States Army in 1994 as a Combat Medic and later became a Warrant Officer. His military service culminated as an Instructor Pilot flying the UH-60 A/L Blackhawk teaching flight school to future Army Aviators. Tony has completed multiple overseas tours and deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, retiring from the Army after 22 years of service, at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3.

He currently works at Cairns Army Airfield as a Core Academics Instructor for the Instructor Pilot Course for all airframes and Initial Entry Rotary Wing. Tony earned his Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle University in 2018 graduating Magna Cum Laude. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Silofa for 11 years.Tony is the father to three children; Darien (23) of Harrisburg, PA, Devyon (10), and Malia (9) of Enterprise, AL. Tony currently resides in Enterprise, AL with his family.

Bro. Dana Perdue

November 2024 to Present

Dana Perdue, a native of Montgomery, Alabama, enlisted in the United States Army in 1995 as a Medic and later became a Flight Medic. After serving in Aviation for four years, he transitioned from an enlisted role to become a UH-60 Blackhawk Pilot. Dana has completed multiple overseas tours and deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, retiring from the Army after 23 years of service, in the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3.

He currently works at Cairns Army Airfield as a Core Academics Instructor for the Instructor Pilot Course for all airframes. Dana earned his Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle University. He is married to his soulmate, Philena, and is the father of one adult daughter, Amayah.

Bro. Dr. Pastor Darrell Roberts

November 2020 to Present

00-Epsilon Phi

 

Born September 22, 1961, Reverend Darryl S. Roberts is a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, fourth child of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Roberts.

 

Pastor Roberts began his post-secondary educational training at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a concentration in Criminal Justice and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies in 1994 at Crichton College, located in Memphis, TN. He obtained a Master of Divinity degree from the Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN in 2009. He has also received his Ph. D in Leadership from Carolina University in 2022.

 

He is the loving husband of one wife, Ms. Jacqueline A. Roberts of 31 years. They have three daughters and three granddaughters.

Bro. Dr. R. Rafeal Norton
1-17- Kappa Beta Beta

Dr. R. Rafeal Norton RN, MSN, Th. D, was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama. He has worked as a Registered Nurse for 23 years. Norton has a Masters degree in Nursing and a Doctorate degree in Theology. Norton serves on the Board of Directors for Hawk Houston Youth Enrichment Center, and serves as a Board Member and Vice President of Operations at Royale’s Special Heart Foundation, Inc.

​

​Norton is the husband to Nicole and has 3 Children, Quinton, Ramon II, & Z'yon.
